About the Unit:

We who work in the employment and establishment unit do so on behalf of the board for work and welfare. The unit's mission is our main process, the path to self-sufficiency. The process includes supporting Nacka residents in need of financial assistance, labor market initiatives, and budget and debt counseling, as well as ensuring Nacka Municipality's refugee reception. We believe in meeting those we serve in a professional and respectful manner, with a clear focus on a quick and effective path to self-sufficiency and independence.

As a budget and debt advisor, you will belong to the administration, housing, budget, and debt counseling team, with group manager Juliette Haddad as your immediate supervisor. The unit's managers focus on quality, responsiveness, participation, and order in their leadership.

Your Mission:

In the role of budget and debt advisor, you will work with budget counseling and debt counseling for individuals. With budget counseling, you assist the client in planning their personal finances, which may involve working with household budgets to achieve long-term sustainability and a balanced budget. Many of those seeking advice have debt problems; through mapping the debt situation, you provide advice, support, and guidance so that clients can gain control over their finances. You will also support those in need of debt restructuring, from submitting the application until the debt restructuring is completed. Support may also include assistance with appeals or reviews and support to adhere to the payment plan. An important part of the budget and debt advisor's work is to motivate, support, and guide the client. You help clarify the issues and thereby simplify the often complex situation of the client. Your work should lead to the client receiving help for self-help. The mission includes preventive work by providing information and collaborating with other actors.

Your Profile:

We are looking for you:

• Trained lawyer, economist, social worker, or have another equivalent education.
• Interested in personal finance and sees opportunities for all people.
• Empathetic and communicative, able to communicate with different individuals based on their situations and has a good ability to meet others.
• Has good collaboration skills and can structure, plan, and prioritize your work.

It is an advantage if you have experience in budget and debt counseling and if you have experience with motivational or coaching conversations.

To succeed in the role, you need to have experience meeting people in difficult life situations and speaking in front of groups.
